It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Ok so I am having a crappy day and I wanted to get this out before I forgot. (Was suppose to post this last night but was too tired to post it) ^^;

Ok so in my digital arts class, my professor wants everyone to enter this student show this spring so I am entering. With what picture you may ask. This one. ----> Now I have another one I made but it is on my flash drive and I am at school typing this. So when I get home I will be uploading it and posting it in this journal. Now what I need you guys to do for me is to vote on which one I should enter! Sounds easy right. Well I also want your opinions on them as well. Because I want the best one in the showing.

I will also be posting a poll on this and sending the links to the photos and a link to this journal.

All of them together in that mosaic looks fantastic, but if you have to pick just one (does it have to represent spring or no) I'd say the one on the bottom left or the top right.
